H. MACK SUMMEY, JR., PE
Principal Engineer, Owner
Mack Summey is a Professional Engineer licensed in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, New Mexico, and Minnesota. Prior to starting Summey Engineering in 2004, Mr. Summey worked for Davis Martin Powell & Associates, Inc. in High Point, North Carolina and Marziano & Manier in Asheboro, North Carolina. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Mr. Summey has decades of civil engineering experience. His primary responsibilities include project management and site design.
WILLIAM B. ATKINSON, PE
Professional Engineer
William (Will) Atkinson is a Professional Engineer licensed in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, Michigan, Colorado, Ohio, New Mexico, Minnesota, and Maryland. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor and Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering (structural). Mr. Atkinson's primary responsibilities include structural design, project management, structural repair, and building layout, but also has various experience in site design and land development.
AARON CARTER, PE, PLS
Associate Engineer
Aaron Carter is a Professional Engineer in North Carolina and South Carolina, as well as a licensed Professional Land Surveyor in North Carolina. Mr. Carter joined the Summey Engineering team in 2023 as part of our growing surveying department. Mr. Carter's primary responsibilities include review of survey maps, legal descriptions, assisting field crews, and map development, as well as helping with structural engineering projects.
